About Spiritual Guidance
Most of us struggle to hear God’s quiet voice let alone feel the presence of God within and around us. Many of us have spiritual and religious questions or even trauma due to fear and shame-based upbringings we need to work through. As a Spiritual Guide, I create a safe container of deep listening and non-judgement for you to be fully yourself. The goal is that over time you feel empowered to be fully the beautiful Soul God Made and have practices that ground you in Holy Presence.
A Spiritual Guide is not an evangelist: I am not here to convert you to my way of thinking. I meet you where you are and help guide you to where you wish to be.
A Spiritual Guide is not a therapist, but rather helps you to listen to the sacred voice within and without, empowering you as you find your own courage, clarity, and compassion.
A Spiritual Guide is someone who is doing their own work. I am walking the walk every day so I can safely walk beside you and lend you my experience when helpful. I have various tools I may use in our sessions, including my pastoral background, being IFS-informed, religious trauma informed, and my own intuitive gifts.
How often do we meet? Sessions are usually once a month for 60 minutes.
What is the fee? The fee is $60 for the hour and can be paid by cash, check, or venmo before or directly after the session.
What is your background? I am an ELCA (Lutheran) Pastor with over eighteen years of ministry. I myself have received extensive spiritual direction for fifteen of those years, and explored spirituality in depth for as long. I am IFS-informed, Religious Trauma Certified, and a 200-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher to boot!
What is IFS? IFS stands for Internal Family Systems. It is a therapeutic model that works with the parts inside of us that are wounded and burdened. By bringing out our Self, we offer compassion, curiosity, clarity, courage, creativity, calmness, confidence, and connectedness to heal our internal selves. As a Guide, I facilitate this process.
What if I’m not Christian or don’t know what I am? Can You offer me Spiritual Guidance? No problem! I believe the Sacred is found in many ways and I honor how the Sacred shows up for you personally. I am familiar and comfortable with various spiritualities and religions.
What do you believe? I have experienced God/Source/Holy as a loving, powerful, and mysterious Consciousness that deeply loves all of us just as we are. My roots are in Lutheran Christianity, and I honor the compassionate path of Jesus. Yet, my branches have stretched out to learn and honor where God shows up in many paths and faces.
I believe God wishes for our growth, maturing, and healing. I believe each of us have the potential to nurture the courage, clarity, and compassion inherent in each one of us.
I believe my work on earth is to help people to find that inner freedom.
